He's the chef elf — eyes closed, wooden spoon to his lips, giving the batch his full professional attention. He's dressed for the work: a real cloth chef's hat, a leather apron with a hand-stitched pocket, and red oven mitts on both hands, because a serious cook respects a hot pot. His name is the German word for cake, and he has clearly earned it.
He's listed today with a rare Simpich elf table — a miniature butcher block, complete with a carved cleaver buried in the work surface and a corked jug of what Kuchen insists is cooking sherry, though the shape of that jug tells a different story.
The set comes as two pieces: Kuchen, and the butcher-block table with its fittings.
Cast, hand-painted, and dressed in hand-sewn clothing in the Simpich doll shop.
