From our family to yours.
The Simpich Family Collection
When the Simpich Doll Shop closed in 2007, a chapter of American handcrafted artistry came to a close. Yet within the Simpich Family home, many of those beloved characters remained — cherished reminders of a lifetime of creativity, craftsmanship, and joy.
Over the years, our family has continued to care for a small number of these pieces — some inherited from Bob and Jan Simpich, others displayed in the Simpich Museum, and a few gifted to David and Debby Simpich themselves. Each has lived within our home and family story for decades.
Now, for the first time, we’re opening a small portion of this private family collection to share with the collector community that has carried the Simpich legacy forward.
These dolls have not been remade or rediscovered — they are original pieces, lovingly preserved and carefully chosen to bring joy and inspiration to new homes. Each release is limited, hand-inspected, and accompanied by documentation verifying its origin from the Simpich Family Collection.
While future releases may occur, the number of dolls we’re able to share is extremely small. This is not a new production — it’s a gesture of gratitude from our family to yours, honoring the artistry and tradition that continue to connect us all.
“These pieces have been part of our family’s life — now they can become part of yours.”
— Toby Simpich, Consignment Manager, Simpich Family Traditions

From the Simpich Collection
Madame Baguette from the Peasant Collection captures the charm of rural life with timeless detail. Madame Baguette, the final and rarest Peasant design, is dressed in a shawl and hood, carrying freshly baked loaves of bread in her apron.
This doll is part of The Simpich Family Collection — a limited offering of original Simpich Character Dolls released directly from the personal holdings of the Simpich Family. These are not consigned or newly produced pieces, but dolls that have been cared for, displayed, or preserved by the family since the closing of the Simpich Doll Shop in 2007. Many originated from the former Simpich Museum or were inherited from Bob and Jan Simpich themselves. Each has been personally inspected and chosen for release by David, Debby, and Toby Simpich to ensure it represents the artistry, warmth, and spirit of the Simpich legacy.
While there may be future releases, very few pieces remain that the family is prepared to part with — making each offering from this collection a rare and heartfelt connection between the Simpich Family and the community that continues to celebrate their work. Every piece includes documentation verifying its origin from The Simpich Family Collection and is offered in its original, family-kept condition.
