Hansel And Gretel: All About Gingerbread Holiday Edition

The classic Brothers Grimm fairy tale is brought to life as never before in this enchanting  holiday edition! Within a forest of animated trees and one highly conscientious sandman, there stands a cottage of enticing treats NOT to be touched.   And there lives a brave gingerbread boy who places himself at the center of a great woodland contest for the lives of two very hungry children.  Whoever thought a Christmas cookie could be THIS good?

The Puppet Maker: A Story of Christmas

Step inside the workshop of a village woodcarver as he painstakingly prepares a marionette Nativity scene for a local Christmas music festival. On this eventful Christmas Eve night before the pageant, as he applies the finishing touches to his figures, a Christmas story unfolds that is both timeless and unexpected.

Hearing Devices Available!

Simpich Showcase now has an FM Transmit System to better serve audience members with hearing loss or special hearing needs!   A transmitter and headphones can be requested at the front desk upon your arrival.   We also have neck loupes for those with T-Coil enabled hearing aids available.

Concessions

Our Theatre Features Concessions, offering a large variety of reasonably priced snacks and beverages. Concessions open one half hour before show time.

About Simpich Showcase Theatre

The Simpich Showcase Theatre is one of the United States’ only performance facilities dedicated to presenting year-round string-puppet productions for adult and family audiences. Featuring original plays from the Simpich Marionette Repertoire, the intimate 70 seat theatre plays host to a variety of stories and subject matter, from award winning productions such as The Secret Garden, Hans Christian Andersen Storybook and Great Expectations to original plays by puppeteer David Simpich, as well as Christmas, Easter and other seasonal offerings. The adjoining Simpich Museum also houses rotating exhibits of many marionettes from the Simpich performances, displayed in elaborate settings.
