February 7, 2012 marked the 200th anniversary of the birth of Charles Dickens.  Organizations across the world are hosting special events throughout 2012 to commemorate Dickens’s life and work; and Simpich Showcase will join in the bicentenary celebration with a lavish two-part festival. Our summer offerings will commence June 26 with two Dickens marionette plays, Great Expectations and Oliver Twist, presented in repertoire in our theatre and a plethora of special events and exhibits hosted in our museum and gallery.  The festivities will culminate in late fall with additional holiday themed Dickens proceedings including our marionette production of A Christmas Carol.

The Dickens Festival Performance Package Is Now Available Online And At Our Box Office! 

This offer provides priority seating to all three Dickens plays with a 15% discount. Package Holders will also receive priority notification of other special Dickens events at Simpich as the schedule is confirmed.
