A Christmas Carol |
|
This show premiered November 1987 at The Simpich Marionette Theatre as a two-puppeteer production. When the theatre closed in 1992, the play was readapted into a solo production with David Simpich portraying Charles Dickens as the storyteller and "puppeteer." This version was an annual Christmas event at the Broadmoor Hotel in Colorado Springs until 1998, when David began work on a new Christmas play, The Puppet Maker: A Story of Christmas. Out of season, A Christmas Carol was presented in Santa Cruz, CA as part of the Dickens' Universe and at the Puppeteers of America National Festival in Toledo, Ohio, 1997. |
